We want to be a church where anyone can come, feel welcomed and accepted, and find their way at their own pace. Whether you’ve walked through our doors for the first time, or you’ve been attending for years, you never know what to expect during our Sunday Experiences. From the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave, we are committed to a creative, compelling, challenging, relevant presentation of God’s truth. We desire to experience worship that is genuine and freeing – not sensational or rigid.

Join us every Sunday at either 07h45, 09h30 and 11h15. All 3 Experiences are identical! Simply pick the time that suits you the best.

Our Staff

Jesus Christ had a mission. He came to earth from heaven knowing His purpose. His single-mindedness, determination, and reliance on His heavenly Father’s guidance ensured that at the end of His ministry, He could pray confidently, “I have accomplished the work which You gave me to do” (John 17:4).

He also had a vision – to build a community of believers – only twelve at first – that would be the foundation of a vast network of followers who would fulfil His vision. Knowing His disciples’ exciting potential but precarious position, Jesus prayed, “As You have sent Me into the world, I also send them into the world” (John 17:18).

Jesus also had a plan. His ministry unfolded in stages. Workers needed to be trained, and He began to call people right out of their preoccupation with other interests. The control He exercised in relation to His ministry was always in response to the leadings of His heavenly Father—and as the appropriate way to facilitate His mission and vision in accordance with His values.
As Christ followers at New Life Church, we desire to carry on His mission and vision. Because Jesus came to seek and save the lost, we feel compelled to do the same. But Jesus went beyond rescuing people from hell; he wanted to make them fit for heaven. Our purpose is not only for people to “meet” Christ, but also for them to grow in faith by being obedient to His commands and conformed to His character.

What We’re Doing
“Our mission is to reach and help people become fully devoted followers of Christ.”

What We’re Becoming
“Our vision is to live for God in all we do – allowing His love for us – to inspire our love for others.”

Regular Sunday Attendance

As Christ followers we know the grace of God that saved us is only the beginning of His work in our lives. Our grateful response is to actively pursue a lifelong process of spiritual growth in Christ and seek to become conformed to His image. To this end, we consistently nurture our spiritual development through prayer, Bible study and worship. We understand the importance of the ministry of the church in our community and we believe that growing, maturing Christ followers will be connected and committed to a local church. This is why we give priority to attending the corporate gatherings of the church for the purpose of worship, teaching, and participation in the sacrament of Communion.

Helping the Poor and Those in Need

As Christ followers we honour God’s call to participate in community in real and practical ways. We seeks to make a difference in the lives of those who are poor, destitute, helpless and hurting. We want to be a city on a hill, a light in a dark place. To be noticed among the less privileged. We understand that this responsibility is Godgiven, and falls not only on the corporate church, but also on each individual that makes up the body of Christ.

Participating in Ministry by Using My Gifts

As Christ followers we recognise that the church is composed of interdependent members, each uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of building up the body and furthering the ministry of the church. We therefore seek to discover, develop, and deploy those God-given gifts and to seek a place of service within the church, with the support and affirmation of the body. We have all been given a spiritual gift by the Holy Spirit, and that gift is to be used for the common good. Explore your gifts by reaching out, touching lives and building the Kingdom of God!

Building New and Lasting Relationships

As Christ followers we honour God’s call to participate in community in order to grow in Christ likeness, to express and receive love and to carry out the ministry of the church. This is why we are connected relationally to other believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, support, and accountability. We want to pursue honourable and loving relationships: in our families; among our friends, with our co-workers, with our neighbours, and in the church.

Supporting God’s Work With My Finances

As Christ followers we realise that we have been bought with the price of Christ’s blood, and that everything we are and have belongs to Him. In light of this, we desire to be responsible caretakers of the material resources that God has entrusted to us. We recognise the tithe (10% of one’s earnings) as the historic standard of giving in Scripture. But moreover, in response to Christ’s abundant giving, we increasingly submit our resources to His Lordship and display a spirit of generosity and cheerfulness in supporting the work of the church. Allow God to become master of your spending and giving habits. When we do this we can be confident He is master over one of the most personal areas of our lives. All our resources are entrusted to us to use for Kingdom purposes as well as for meeting personal needs. Allow God to have freedom in this area of your life. That way, what we keep as well as what we give honours Him in every respect.
